HamperHelper helps you price and sell things you own. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, your phone number if you add one, and whether you agreed to receive marketing emails or texts.
- Your items: photos you upload, and the titles, prices, descriptions and sale status you save.
- How you found us: the link or campaign that brought you here, the referring website, and invite codes.
- Approximate location: city, state and country estimated from your IP address. We never collect your precise location.
- Usage data: pages viewed, buttons used, device and browser type. With your permission we also record anonymized sessions to fix bugs and improve the app.
How we use it
- To run the app: sign you in, price your items, and save your listings.
- To improve HamperHelper and understand which marketing works.
- To send selling tips and product news, only if you opted in. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To text you selling tips and deals, only if you checked the box to get texts. Reply STOP to any text to opt out. We never sell or share your phone number for anyone else's marketing.
- To keep the service safe and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Anthropic (AI that analyzes your photos to price items), and PostHog (product analytics). They process data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal information. If HamperHelper is ever acquired or merged with another company, your information may transfer as part of that deal, and this policy will continue to apply.
Your choices and rights
- Decline analytics cookies in the banner, or clear your browser storage to reset that choice.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and data by emailing support@hamperhelper.app.
- California residents have rights under the CCPA to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your items, photos and profile within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep records.
Kids
HamperHelper is not for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
